The disaster Management programme of Oxfam has been assisting communities to dig ponds. The pond digging began on July 2 and is expected to finish by the end of August, 2005. The pond is 2 metres deep, 33 metres long and 30 metres wide and can hold 2,000 cubic metres of water. Total beneficiaries of this pond is 38 families and the workers must be 18 years and over and they received $1.5 per day.
